In this series we have a Shinigami named Guri. She possesses a book known as a Love Note. It's a book that once you write 2 peoples name in it, they kiss within 24 hours. And she had a hobby of using it to make men kiss.
But this became a problem when she accidentally wrote a name wrong and wrote the name of Seiji Aino. Not wanting to force him to kiss someone against his will, he asked him to pick someone to kiss. Because if he doesn't kiss someone, he'll be a virgin forever and Guri will die.
So the 2 went to his school to look for someone. He was worried walking around with someone dressed as she was, but she told him she can only be seen by him. And as they're looking around, they see the girl he had a crush on, Akane Hiyama.
Soon after that, Akane noticed him and happily ran over to say hi. Seiji was happy but very embarrassed by this. He was also worried if what Guri said about her not being able to be seen was true. When he asked her about that, she decided to prove it. So she snuck up behind Akane and pulled her running shorts down. Revealing her panties, which were white, frilly, and had 3 bows.
Although he was clearly excited by what he saw, he complained to Guri for doing that. And she just brought up how she didn't notice her and probably thought it was a wardrobe malfunction. But this didn't make Seiji feel better as he was afraid people would blame him for her being pantsed.
Akane who got pantsed looked down at her exposed panties wondering what happened, but she didn't look embarrassed. She then decided to ask Seiji something, to which he covered his eyes and lied her that he didn't see. But her question was who is the cosplay girl who just panted her.
Both Seiji and Guri were shocked by the fact she could see her. He then then got mad Guri because she said it be alright, to which she played innocent to. He then tried to explain to Akane that he had nothing to do with her, to which Guri got upset and said he kissed her.
Rather then pulling up her shorts, Akane left them down and focused on the kiss part that was mentioned. Seiji in a panic tried telling her there was a reason. That's when Guri said he forced himself on her and did things with his tongue.
That's when Akane got angry that he kissed her. He tried explaining that it wasn't against her will, but all that did for Akane was confirm they kissed. In response to this, she with a smile on her face said he'd receive capital punishment.
At this point Seiji was shocked as if he didn't know what was happening. But he did ask her why. Akane, who still didn't pull her shorts up, said it was for cheating on her. At the same time she reached behind herself.
He then while sweating confusingly asked if he was even going out with her. She said no, but that they might some day, so she's punishing him for supposedly cheating now, while also holding 2 knives she pulled out.
Then while Seiji was terrified, Guri thought they were cool. She even asked Akane where she bought them, which pissed Seiji off as it was a stupid question to ask at such a time. But despite this obviously not being flirting, that's what Akane thought it was and jumped to stab Seiji. Luckily Guri pushed him out of the way.
We then see Guri sighing in relief, while having a knife slashed into her skull. Both Seiji and Akane were shocked by the fact she was still alive. Akane in particular was angry that she didn't die. After that, Guri asks if Seiji is okay, while he says he should be asking that. And Akane being crazy considered this flirting before going for another stab.
At this point, Seiji had-had enough. So despite Guri enjoying this, he grabbed her and ran off. After that, Akane just watched them run off in shock, while still in her underwear. At that point a friend of hers called her so they could do her run time. And when she saw Akane as she was, she asked why she took off her shorts. But Akane didn't pay attention to her and cried because of Seiji and Guri.

The anime adaption holds little difference from the original manga version. One clear different being there's nothing showing any characters thought process. Other then that, the only differences are some cuts, like Akane's friend who saw her in her underwear not being there.

Things to take note of:
1 - There's a couple misdrawn parts in the manga pages above where Akane is wearing her shorts when she's not supposed to.
2 - During the stab jump part of this moment, we see Akane's shorts aren't even around her legs anymore. This part exists in both versions and her friend even said she took them off. This means she must've stepped out of her shorts before the stab.
